Why Las Vegas is the Perfect Place for the Raiders

Dave – “Car Detailing Las Vegas”  says,

It is no secret for those that have been following the NFL, that the Oakland Raiders have been unhappy with their current relationship to their city. With Oakland unwilling to build a new stadium, the Raiders ownership has been looking to make a change for a while. When you consider the amazing stadiums that exist in the NFL and the amount of money the league brings in, it is pretty easy to understand why the Raiders are unsatisfied. They are still sharing a stadium with the Oakland Athletics, which means that when the raiders play a home game you might a great catch where second base should be. Playing on a field that is partially dirt is not ideal, and the Raiders are looking to make a change.

Nevada has recently approved plans to build a stadium for the Raiders, but the final decision will still rest with the NFL owners. Many owners have expressed reservations about moving a team to Las Vegas. With the city being transient and not known for supporting a major sports franchise, it may take some serious convincing to get these owners to sign off on the Las Vegas Raiders. That is why it is important for the Raiders and the city of Las Vegas to push some of the outs of the box thinking that shows why this move needs to happen. Las Vegas is actually a perfect place for the NFL, and it is provable!

For starters, Las Vegas can raise money like no other city on earth. Due to the nature of the Casinos and hotels, most people that travel to Vegas are willing to accept the financial impact. No one goes to Vegas to be stingy, and that means that the hotels can tax rooms in a way that no other city can. The Raiders will be putting up far less money to build a stadium in Vegas than they would in any other city. That is a big deal and the NFL would be wise to consider it in their final decision.

Another huge factor for Las Vegas is that it would quickly become the best destination for football fans from L.A. and other areas close to Nevada to make a vacation weekend that includes football. If you had been hoping to go to Vegas for vacation and you see that your favorite team has an away game in Vegas this season, many people will choose to make a great weekend of gambling and football happen.

Finally, Vegas is a gigantic entertainment hub. The NFL is a sports league, but it is also an entertainment industry. The NFL would greatly benefit from the entertainment environment in Vegas. So many stars with regularly scheduled shows on the strip, there are entertainment partners for the NFL right in their own backyard if they move to Vegas.

So, there you have it NFL owners. Let the Raiders move to Vegas. That way when your team loses to the Raiders, you can say, “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”

The Four Places You Need to See in Las Vegas

Viva Las Vegas! Many people take trips to Vegas each week for the casinos and the shows. Clearly, if you love playing the slots or seeing a Cher show, you are guaranteed to have an amazing time in Vegas. However, lots of us end up in Vegas because of a wedding or business trip, and gambling and greatest hits shows are just not top on our list. If that sounds like you, and you have an upcoming trip to Vegas, then here are some of the places you can visit and still have an amazing experience.

  • The Strip
Yes, so much of “The Strip” is full of casinos and hotels. However, this 2.5-mile-long portion of the Las Vegas Boulevard is great for people watching. There are so many different things to see while walking the strip. If you have never seen the neon-lit strip in person, then you can never imagine how much fun you can have walked along it at night. The people on the strip are always having a good time and there are great side entertainment attractions outside of many hotels like erupting volcanoes that you can see for free.

  • See the Grand Canyon in a New Way
Yes, the Grand Canyon is pretty far outside of Vegas, but there are a number of companies that take helicopter tours over the Grand Canyon. This is the most amazing way to take in the vastness of the Grand Canyon and have a relaxing afternoon. There are also tours of “the Strip” and other parts of Las Vegas, so if you enjoy helicopter rides and seeing the aerial view of things, this is the perfect setup for you. Make sure that you plan out a full afternoon to really enjoy this experience.

  • The Stratosphere Tower This site, that you cannot miss on the Las Vegas Skyline, is a tower that stands 1,149 feet tall and on its rooftop, there are amazing thrill rides! If you have never taken a ride on a roller coaster that is on top of a giant tower, it is the ultimate thrill. If you are a little bit less of a risk chaser, then you might want to enjoy the view from the indoor or outdoor observation deck so that you can take in the entire city.

  • The Venetian Hotel

While you are on “Tveneitianhe Strip”, you should go see the Venetian Hotel that is right across from Treasure Island. This amazing resort has so many great attractions that will keep you entertained. The entire shopping arcade has been built to look exactly like Venice. This includes canals, gondoliers and artificial skies that will blow your mind. If you want to see amazing recreations
of the Rialto Bridge and many other parts of Venice, then this is a great attraction. There are also wonderful Venetian Gondola rides that take you on a boat through the whole shopping arcade.

Sick Of Politics?

I am sure there is one thing all Americans can come together and unite on and that is for the 2016 Presidential election to end. My guess is there is not one citizen who isn’t ready for the mudslinging, lying, and outrageous scandals to come to a halt. The only downfall to this ending is that we will have a new President that nobody really wants. This particular election seems to be more about voting for who will mess up the country the least rather than who we want the most.

There are three presidential debates leading up to the November 2nd election. The final and third debate will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada at the UNLV campus on October 19, 2016. Chris Wallace from Fox News will be the moderator.

Since the final debate is in Nevada, this could have a profound effect on the outcome of Nevada voters. Nevada has 6 electoral votes to contribute to the outcome of the President. Depending how the debate goes, this could be a big win for one candidate over another. Anyone who is on the fence will most likely make their finally decision on October 19th after the debate is over.

Nevada has 1.1 percent of the 538 electoral votes, which may not seem like a lot. Some of the interesting statistics show that Nevada cast the winning votes 89% of the time, meaning if 6 republican votes come out of Nevada, Trump will win. Between the years of 1900 and 2000 Nevada residents supported the Democratic candidate slightly more than the Republican. At this point the party affiliation is equal. Statistically speaking who ever wins Nevada will be the President ofunlv the United States.

Regardless of who wins the election, the debate will be a win for the City of Las Vegas and UNLV. The debate is estimated to be watched more than any other presidential debate which is great publicity for Las Vegas and UNLV. Las Vegas and UNLV have put over $4 million into costs of the debate.
Nevada could potentially play a huge role in the election so make sure you get out there and vote!
