If you follow me on twitter which if you don’t and I find out you are on twitter I will send The Hero from Battle Not after you (you can follow me here) So as I was saying if you follow me on twitter you will often see that I talk to @Katesherrod Kate has been giving me the amazing honor of having mentioed me in several of her suppertime sonnets

What’s a Supper Time sonnet you ask?

Every day Kate will write and in some cases more then one sonnets. Her topics are almost always geeky and have given me quite a few good chuckles now and again. Why am I telling you about this. It’s badass do you need another reason? Thats right its the internet and I shall tell you more

I have be lucky enough that Kate is a huge fan of my works in fact she has written several Sonnets mentioning me which you can find here. You can all blame Kate when my ego starts to eat the internet.

I have been nominated for a parsec award in the best video category

That is pretty much happened to my mind when I found out. This is a huge honor on my part. The Parsec Awards are a celebration of the best speculative fiction podcasting. Just two examples of Parsec Nominated Filmmakers, Earl Newton of Stranger Things and Jerome Oliver of Missing Pages . Good company to be in.

I There is still much work to be done, I have to submit various footage from 3 of my shows that were originally released in between may 1st of 2008, and April 30th 2009. If you the three have anything that you think would make a particular good entry into this. Please let me know via a comment on this post

• Dan Savage’s idea for Civil Disobedience against DOMA. I Think he might be onto something
• Video of people watching Porn. Really fascinating stuff. Watch it because we all watch porn. If you say you don’t your a liar and please leave.
• Repo man that steals planes.  Amazing story interesting how this man is getting more and more business.
• A 130 megapixel camera. What more do you want. This guy made a camera out of a flatbed scanner.
• Wooster Collective Neglected Children. Fuck yes

This will be the last Battle Not post for that I can foresee happening. Just a couple of things that we mention in the commentary.

A few of you guys asked about what production problems I had with Battle Not. So in no particular order here were some major ones.

•  Actors getting sick
• Pre planning/ Not enough of it.
• Getting crowds
• Re-writing the script on set
• Not Enough sleep/ time to clam down
• 2 super hard days back to back.

• The Secret Lives of Superheros and Supervillains.  Shots of superhero and supervillans doing everyday regular things. Pretty cool stuff (via Cinematical)
• The Future Beneath Us. Shots of building subway tunnels and various underground structures under NYC streets (via Good)

• Old school sex ed drawings. Really interesting and at the same time creepy drawings (via Boing Boing)
• Tiny Houses. Not much more to say. I can’t remember where I came across this. 
• “My twin brother told me that if he thought God told him to kill me, he wouldn’t think twice” (via One Sentence)
• Artificial traffic James in the Mountains. Photoshoped traffic jams on rural mountain roads. This is pretty sweet (via We Make Money Not Art)

In this episode I am talking about the various things that went into the creation of Battle Not from a story and content perspective. Some of the things mentioned were, Beowulf, Nietzsche, posthumans, transhumans, and various ethical ideas.
