Upgrading you from a E to a BA

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

E is for excellent. But I am going to ONE UP my good blogy friend Bridget over at Yellphant and give a couple of my favorite blogs and podcasts a BA which stands for BADASS. These sites are in no particular order. Just what ever I think of as I write it.

1. Scott Sigler-If you don’t know who Scott Sigler is then well get over there and listen to all of Nocturnal its pretty much that simple. He is pretty much all that and a bag of chips. By bag I mean pyscho and chips I mean he gave me my start.

2. The Hollywood Podcast- Tim Coyne is the man and one of my fellow hosts of CUT. He was one of the first podcast’s I ever had the privlage to listen to. He does interviews with the blue collar side of talent in LA. But what I really love about his shows are the Unkempt shows. He tells stories about his life which are amazing. More then once I’ve told him that they are works of art.

3. Omigod.net- Run by Kyle Connor, this site is freaking amazing for those sarcastic and not so serious moments. Kyle has also been a huge help for me with this site on things behind the scenes and Kind enough to let me be a guest blogger on his site. Kyle is good people.

4. Of Variant and Subspecies . A. Has one of the coolest titles of a blog ever. But seriously has some of the most insightful and eye opening blogs out there. Melinda’s writings about life, art, and just a multitude of things that she observes are always fascinating to read. She’s also one of the host’s of CUT and is a amazingly good photographer. A amazing person and artist all around.

5. XKCD I don’t really need to say anything click the link. Enjoy

6. Wondermark Retro might be all the rage now as a fad. But the abusrd is always funny at least to me it is. Wondermark takes old time drawings and well makes them funny. It’s a simple as that. But its funny enough to make me fall out of my chair and make me spend some cash on a poster.

7. Yellaphant. Bridget is fucking hilarious. Nuff said! No be seriously she is funny as shit. Inside joke *P.S. Boobies

Im sure I’ll finish this list at some point but right now my brain is about to crawl out of my skull. and that would be bad.

Really bad

This is way to freaking cool.

Sometimes you are lucky enough for some one else besides your self to dig your work. And that feeling is pretty freaking awesome. But then sometimes someone will tell you that they like your work which is even more awesome those moments keep you going through the tough times.

But for the frist time in my life someone else besides me has done something with my work. Mae Breakall the roller derby queen herself has launched a new podcast ‘Junkie Mae’s Chop Shop” the podcast is going to be Scott Sigler fan fiction. Lucky enough for me I my short story “Body Strain” (based in the Rookie universe) was selected to be preformed along with Paul Fischer’s Sigler at the Drive thru.

I can’t even tell you how mind blowing it is to hear someone reading my fiction. Mae I can’t thank you enough for this. And all you other people please go check out Junkie Mae’s Chop Shop what are you waiting for? GET OVER THERE!!!!

Perspective 36: Copyright

Monday, August 25th, 2008

So a little talk about copyright sort of more a over view. With full copy right, creative commons, and public domain. Go into it a little bit more on why Trent Reznor and Radiohead worked. Also going into why it only works for them and that it would not have been as succesful for a smaller band.

Also I annouced the bittorrent give away for Oct next blog post will go more in detail on what movies and what not will be included.
